Our Drug and Alcohol Support Group

This group meets every Tuesday. You may call 706-882-0087 for details. You do not have to be a member of Baptist Tabernacle to benefit from this group.

If you suffer from addiction to one or more chemicals, the important issue is recovery - how to overcome the compulsion to drink or use. You can overcome through the power of God. A Christ-centered 12-step program can help you to achieve a healthy and Christ-honoring life style. In this process, you will discover the resources you need to experience these positive changes.

Twelve-Step programs began with the establishment in the 1930's of the first program, Alcoholics Anonymous. Alcoholics Anonymous was adapted from a Christian revival organization known as the Oxford Group. The Twelve Steps were written in the laboratory of human experience as people sought God's solution for alcoholism, but they can apply to everyone.

A True Testimony

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
